Confirmed bird sightings on the Outer Cape in the week preceding the Independent’s deadline on Tuesday, June 8 included the following, based on a report prepared by Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
Sightings at Race Point in Provincetown included a Northern Bobwhite, a Common Murre, 3 Little Gulls, 2 Lesser Black-Backed Gulls, an Arctic Tern, 4 Short-Billed Dowitchers, and 5 Manx Shearwaters.

An Olive-Sided Flycatcher was reported from North Truro.
Nobody in Wellfleet or Eastham dropped a dime on a rare bird.
