Students’ Works On View at The Truro Public Library

The Truro Central School Art Show is up in the Anne H. Brock Room at the town’s library, with works by students in kindergarten through grade 5 — but just until the end of this month.

Shown is The Lights in the Sky by third-grader Declan. “You can find beauty in everything. It’s an aurora borealis. I worked hard,” reads his artist’s statement. (Photos by Justine Alten)
Spring Flowers, by grade 2 artist, Westley. “I made this painting with oil pastels and water colors,” he writes. “It reminds me about spring.”

King Robert, by third-grade student Robert, who feels good about his work. “This is a portrait of me as a king. It reminds me of my art skills,” he writes.
“I had vases with zinnias in them. I decided to draw them because of how beautiful they are,” writes Steven Meserve, grade 5, whose piece is called Flowers. “I used watercolor, oil pastels, and Sharpies. I like the colors I chose.”
