Gather ye cosmic rosebuds, Earthlings! Saturn ends it retrograde period on Oct. 23. That will be followed by both the Sun and Venus shifting into shifty Scorpio and a new Moon solar eclipse in Scorpio, too. We’ll cover the latter events next week. For now, let’s explore Saturn’s shadow.
Saturn has been retrograde in Aquarius since June. Saturn rules over Aquarius, and this sign is the planet’s domicile — where it exudes a balanced expression of its energies. Here, it is all about the “bigger picture” and, when retrograde, asks that we slow down and reassess what we’re really working toward.
Air sign Aquarius holds space for the collective and the futuristic. Saturn brings focus to boundaries, structures, and rules. Saturn’s transit here is especially useful, then, for large social movements. Think of all the activity we’ve seen over the summer where people are pushing back against restrictive governments.
The two weeks after a retrograde are considered its “shadow.” Expect to see the results of all these uprisings, for better or worse.
Meanwhile, on a more local level, spend a little less time on your personal “brand” and a little more working toward the greater good. We’re going to need each other, because Scorpio season this year is going to be intense!
