7-9 pm: Rose Dorothea Award Reception for Mark Doty. Provincetown Public Library, 356 Commercial St. Free. Poet, memoirist, and National Book Award winner Mark Doty will be presented with the fifth annual Rose Dorothea Award as part of the 2019 Provincetown Book Festival.

All day: The Gasp: Bike, Boat, and Bake. Bike race begins at the Henry T. Wing School, Sandwich. $95 to register as a rider with Team CDP, plus $500 fundraising minimum; fundraising event incorporating a 62-mile bike ride from Sandwich to Provincetown, an hour-long cruise, and a lobster boil to benefit Cape Cod charities.
6:30 am-6:30 pm: 17th annual Harbor to the Bay Bike Ride. Race finishes at the Harbor Hotel, Provincetown. Bike or watch bikers race from the Sagamore Bridge or Boston to benefit HIV/AIDS services.

Free; from “Turn down the lights, close your eyes and snuggle up” to “Jump out of your seat and sing along,” experience the vocal artistry of Avenue X cruising from the sounds of the ’50s to popular tunes of today.
5-7 pm: Forty years of the Éditions du Pré Nian. Wellfleet Public Library, 55 West Main St., Meeting Room. Free; etcher and fine press printer Bertrand Bracaval discusses his four decades of printing art books through his Le Pré Nian press.
5-7 pm: Jim Hooper artist reception. Preservation Hall, 335 Main St., Wellfleet. Free and open to the public; Celebrate Oyster Farmers: Portraits of a Sustainable Waterfront, a photographic exhibition that explores the shellfish community of the Outer Cape.
