Meetings Ahead
Truro, as of the Independent’s deadline, was in the testing phase for a platform that can broadcast regulatory meetings and incorporate viewer input remotely. The town does not currently have a way to access regulatory meetings online. It conducted regulatory meetings via conference call. On Tuesday, the Truro Select Board did hold a meeting that Truro residents could view on Channel 18 TV. Viewers were instructed to email Town Manager Rae Ann Palmer with questions to participate.

Town Meeting Postponed
The select board voted Tuesday to delay the April 28 town meeting until an unspecified date. Officials at Tuesday’s meeting did not schedule the new meeting date yet, because they hope that in two weeks they will have a better idea about public building closures and emergency declarations due to the coronavirus, said Town Manager Rae Ann Palmer. The board members did not make a decision about any possible postponement of the annual town election, which had been scheduled for May 12. —K.C. Myers
