Provincetown’s Fourth of July parade begins at 11 a.m. at the Harbor Hotel in the East End and proceeds down Commercial Street to Franklin Street. Floats will be judged in the categories of Most Patriotic, Best in Parade, Best Musical, Children’s, and Adult.
Fireworks over Provincetown Harbor will happen at dusk and can be viewed from most bayside beaches and the waterfront.
Wellfleet’s Fourth of July events begins with the traditional classic car procession at 9:30 a.m. and the parade of floats starting at 10 a.m. The route begins at the town pier, proceeds up Holbrook Avenue, turns right on Main Street through the center of town, then turns right onto East Commercial Street and returns to the starting point at the town pier. The judges’ stand will be on the town hall green. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Wellfleet Workers.”
