Conversation Starters
T-Time Summer Venue
The T-Time property has attracted the interest of several people and companies inquiring about using the site for a variety of purposes.
“We’ve gotten some other interest in other general uses of the property,” Town Administrator Jacqui Beebe told the select board at their March 1 meeting. “Of course, can reserve it for our own pop-up events or events we have as a town. The big one that is before us is a company that wants to use it as an entertainment venue for live shows.”
Should the board decide to rent the property, Beebe said, it would probably be through requests for proposals. “We would be crafting something the entities would bid on,” she said.
Board chair Jamie Demetri noted the small strip of parking at the T-Time property. “Are we talking about totally manipulating the site to accommodate some of these potential renters?” she asked.
“Some might suggest that, and some might suggest remote parking, that they shuttle people in,” replied Beebe.
The board agreed to place the issue on their next meeting’s agenda for discussion. —Linda Culhane
