Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill hosts the eighth annual Mosquito Story Slam at Edgewood Farm, 3 Edgewood Way in Truro, on Friday, July 30, 4 to 6 p.m. The event will be hosted by creator Vanessa Vartabedian and comedian William Mullin and feature participants from the workshop “The Art and Craft of Live Storytelling.” The theme: “Accidents Can Happen!” Registration is $20 at castlehill.org.

The Mosquito Story Slam presents a two-day virtual storytelling workshop on Saturday, Dec. 12 and Sunday, December 13th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Taught by Vanessa Vartabedian and William Mullin, the Saturday session will focus on storytelling fundamentals, while the Sunday session will focus on story refinement, with a virtual showcase.
