‘In a Quiet Time’ at Four Eleven Gallery
Galleries in Provincetown are in winter mode during January, and new shows are few and far between. But Four Eleven Gallery, at 411 Commercial St. in Provincetown, is open Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m., and this Saturday, Jan. 18, from 3 to 6 p.m., it will feature the opening of “In a Quiet Time,” an exhibit of paintings and mixed media works by gallery and visiting artists that were created in a spirit of meditation and sustained reflection.
The show is curated by gallery owner and artist Liz Carney and gallery artist Pete Hocking, and features work by them and by Naya Bricher, Madelyn Carney, Janine Evers, David Foley, Mary Giammarino, Jenny Humphreys, Paul Rizzo, Laura Shabott, Julie Smith, and others. It will be on view through Jan. 31.
Tribute to Billie Holiday at Preservation Hall
