Paul Wirhun’s show “Thalassa” will be on view through Wednesday, September 2nd, at William Scott Gallery at 439 Commercial St. in Provincetown. Named for the Greek primeval spirit of the sea, the show draws its inspiration from Attic black pottery and Ukrainian egg writing. Wirhun’s red and black egg shell collages on found wood, reminiscent of mosaics, depict Cape sea creatures such as horse shoe crabs, bluefish, and lobsters
