Provincetown’s Art House has announced its 2021 summer season — which will take place in-person, indoors at 214 Commercial St. and at town hall — after last year’s season was postponed by the pandemic. The return coincides with the tenth anniversary of the “Broadway @” series launched by Seth Rudetsky and artistic director Mark Cortale.
Twenty-four acts traversing comedy, drag, cabaret, Broadway, and rock are scheduled. Judy Gold delivers her comedy act all season long from June 25th to September 1st. Alaska Thunderfuck, winner of the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, performs on July 11th. Later on, another Drag Race star, Ginger Minj, performs from August 4th to September 11th. Broadway stars include Kristin Chenoweth, who originated the role of Glinda in Broadway’s Wicked, on August 8th; Lillias White making her Art House debut on August 27th and 28th; and Beth Malone, Tony-nominated for her starring role in Fun Home, on August 30th. Other highlights: Musician Melissa Ferrick plays one night only, in honor of Girl Splash, on July 22nd, and Ben Rimalower presents a live taping of his podcast Broken Records: The Albums You Wouldn’t Shut Up About on August 23rd. Tickets are on sale at ptownarthouse.com.
