Covid-19 Update
As of March 9, Provincetown had eight active cases of Covid-19, with total cases now at 92. One death has been attributed to Covid-19, according to the town.
Provincetown Year-Round Pitch Contest
If you have an idea for a business headquartered in Provincetown that may be able to operate year-round, try it out before a virtual panel of judges at a pitch contest.
“It’s like Shark Tank without the teeth,” said Christin Marshall, executive director of EforAll Cape Cod, a nonprofit that assists in small business development and is a co-host of the event along with the Provincetown Commons, the town of Provincetown, and Entrepreneurs Forever, a program of the Mansmann Foundation in Pittsburgh.
The pitch contest this year will be held virtually. Pre-selected entrepreneurs have 2.5 minutes to present their business concept to a group of judges and attendees. First prize is $1,000, second $750, and third $500. An audience favorite award of $500 is also given out, Marshall told the select board on March 8.
The deadline to apply is April 19 at noon. And the contest itself will be held on April 28 at 5:30 p.m.
