EASTHAM — The Nauset Regional High School varsity fall sports schedule gets underway this coming week with teams in six different sports ready for action.

Nauset will field teams in football, golf, field hockey, soccer, cross country, and volleyball. Cross country and soccer will have both boys and girls teams, while football and volleyball will each have freshman squads in action.

Nauset football players have to wait for their season opener, which is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. against Norwell. The Warriors will travel to Sandwich High School for a scrimmage against Mashpee on Sept. 2.

Nauset girls soccer will play the first of two home games on Friday versus Nantucket and then against Bridgewater-Raynham next Tuesday.

Before taking the field to get their regular season schedule underway on Wednesday, the girls field hockey team will conclude their preseason with a scrimmage against Bourne on Sept. 1 at 4 p.m.

The Warrior boys soccer team will host the Nauset Clash on Saturday, Sept. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. before officially opening their fall campaign at Bridgewater-Raynham on Sept. 6.

Boys Golf: Nauset hosts St. John Paul II for a match at the Captains Golf Course at 3:30 p.m.

Girls Field Hockey: Nauset hosts Martha’s Vineyard at 4 p.m.

Girls Volleyball: The Warriors open the season versus St. John Paul II at 5:30 p.m.
