EASTHAM — In three days last week, the Nauset Warriors baseball team came up with three big wins, improving to 8-4 on the season. All were away games. The Warriors edged Sandwich 6-5 on May 5, drubbed Dennis-Yarmouth 17-2 on May 6, and completed the trifecta by defeating Burlington 12-1 at Shawsheen Valley Tech in Billerica on May 7.
Senior Dylan Duarte pitched five scoreless innings in relief for the Warriors against Burlington, while senior Noah Clarke had four hits and three RBIs. Sophomore Evan Archer pitched in with two hits and three RBIs.
The Nauset girls golf team improved to 5-2 on the season with a 2-to-3 victory over Barnstable at Captains Golf Course on May 5.
May 5 was a banner day for Nauset, as the boys lacrosse squad had an impressive comeback victory over Nantucket. The Warriors were down 6 to 3 to the Whalers before scoring 10 goals in a row and ultimately winning the game 15-10. The boys are 9-2 on the season.
Thursday, May 12
Boys lacrosse: The Barnstable Red Hawks face off against the Warriors at 4 p.m. in Eastham.
Coed sailing: The Sandwich Blue Knights host the Warriors for a competition at Oakcrest Cove at 4 p.m.
Girls lacrosse: Barnstable hosts Nauset for a 4:30 p.m. game.
Friday, May 13
Softball: Barnstable and Nauset face off in a number of sports today. The softball teams play in Eastham at 4 p.m.
Boys and girls tennis: The girls tennis team plays at home against Barnstable at 4 p.m., while the boys travel to Barnstable for a 4:30 p.m. match.
Baseball: Barnstable hosts Nauset at 4:30 p.m.
Boys lacrosse: Rockland High travels to Eastham to play at 6 p.m.
Saturday, May 14
Baseball: Medfield Senior High comes to the Cape to play Nauset at noon at Eldredge Park in Orleans.
Monday, May 16
Boys and girls track: The track teams compete against Sturgis East Charter School at the NRHS track at 4 p.m.
Boys tennis: Nauset takes on St. John Paul II at home at 4 p.m.
Softball: Norwell plays at Nauset at 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, May 17
Girls golf: The team competes in a tri-match at the Wianno Club in Osterville at 3:30 p.m.
Girls lacrosse: Sandwich comes to town for a 4 p.m. contest.
Coed sailing: Cape Cod Academy hosts Nauset at 4 p.m.
Girls tennis: Nauset hosts Sandwich at 4 p.m.
Boys lacrosse: Nauset plays an away game at Sandwich at 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 18
Boys and girls tennis: The Nauset boys play Falmouth at home at 4 p.m. while the girls travel for a 5 p.m. match at Falmouth.
Baseball: Nauset plays Falmouth at 4:30 p.m. at Eldredge Park in Orleans.
