“Marking Persistence” is a show of recent works by Yvette Drury Dubinsky at Farm Projects, 355 Main St. in Wellfleet, running through Monday, Aug. 2. There will be an artist’s reception on Saturday, July 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Dubinsky’s process-driven abstractions commemorate those lost to Covid-19, with each of the small colored dots she paints representing a person. She sometimes threads the names of those lost amongst the sea of dots. Collectively, they’re beautiful evocations of color applied to tactile surfaces of homemade paper — place cards in history to memorialize the fallen. The gallery is open Thursday through Monday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
