Opening Friday, June 25 at Alden Gallery is a show of new works by Robert Glisson, Linda Reedy, and Anne Salas. It will be on view at 423 Commercial St. in Provincetown through July 8th. There will be no opening reception.
Glisson, who lives in Syracuse, N.Y., draws his inspiration from the landscapes of the Hudson River School. His plein air paintings depict the Finger Lakes region with abstracted shapes and vivid colors. Linda Reedy, on the other hand, paints Outer Cape landscapes “that reflect a sense of time, place, and, above all, tranquility,” according to a press release. Anne Salas, a former glass blower who studied painting with Selina Trieff and Robert Henry, creates floral compositions with gold leaf backgrounds that are evocative of Gustav Klimt. The gallery is open daily, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
