Past and Present Exhibits at PAAM
“The Napi and Helen Van Dereck Collection: Part II” is on view at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, 460 Commercial St. from Friday, January 22nd through May 23rd. Curated by PAAM CEO Christine McCarthy, it features more than 40 works of Provincetown art.
“Napi passed away on Christmas Day, 2019 and this exhibition is the second installment as we honor his legacy and his keen eye, as well as the depth of this important collection,” writes McCarthy in the exhibit announcement. “Every picture has a story — the scenes of town represent ‘the way it used to was.’ ”
Artists include Gerrit Beneker, Nancy Maybin Ferguson, Blanche Lazzell, Bruce McKain, Ross Moffett, Pauline Palmer, Kathi Smith, and George Yater.
While you’re at PAAM, don’t miss the Members’ Juried Exhibition, on view through April 11. Featured artists include Cid Bolduc, Jo Hay, Robert Henry, Megan Hinton, Grace Hopkins, Sheryl Jaffe, Deb Mell, Jane Paradise, Anna Poor, Kurt Reynolds, Siân Robertson, Lew Schwartz, Joe Trepiccione, Rowan Wielblad, and others.
