Normally hosted by the Provincetown Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, Great Music on Sundays @5 presents its 23rd season, virtually, on Sundays, July 25th through September 12th. Each of the eight concerts will premiere on its YouTube channel at 5 p.m. Opening the series is “Broadway: Curtain Up!” with pianist and director John Thomas, as well as special guests Mary Abt, Jo Brisbane, Brian Calhoon, Arian Carlos, Ella Mae Dixon, Marcy Feller, Trish LaRose, Roxanne Layton, Pamela Murray, Phoebe Otis, Carolyn Rogers, John Strumwasser, and Jeff Tagen. ‘Townie Holiday Extravaganza’ Streams
The Provincetown Theater’s annual “Townie Holiday Extravaganza” will stream Sunday, December 20th at 7 p.m. via provincetowntheater.org. It is free, with a $20 suggested donation.
The prerecorded compilation of local acts will be hosted by Tawny Heatherton, the drag persona of the theater’s artistic director, David Drake. It features, according to the announcement, “a roster of Cape Cod performers offering pre-recorded songs, spoken word and storytelling acts, plus musical instrument solos on guitar, cello, piano, and harp.”
The performers include Megan Amorese, Mozelle Andrulot, Jay Baer, Christopher Brooke, Arian Carlos, Chanthoeun Collins, Terri Conti, Brandon Cordeiro, Tianna Esperanza, Jay Gurewitsch, Paul E.
