Uncontested Election
There will be no contested races on the ballot for the May 18 annual town election.
Jamie Demetri is running unopposed for a second three-year term on the select board.
Willow Shire is the only candidate for a three-year term on the library board of trustees (Shire was appointed trustee in Dec. 2020 to complete the term of Marilyn Ace).
Edgar Miranda is unopposed in his bid for a three-year term on the Eastham Elementary School Committee, as is Patricia Aurigemma in her bid for a three-year term on the Nauset Regional School Committee.
No one filed nomination papers to fill James McMakin’s expiring five-year term on the housing authority, leaving that position wide open for a write-in candidate.
The last day to register to vote in the May 18 town election is April 13.
May 12 is the deadline to request a mail-in ballot for the May 18 election.
For registration and voting information, visit the town’s website at eastham-ma.gov or contact the Eastham town clerk’s office. —Linda Culhane
