Self-taught Vermont artist Dave Laro is showing a new body of mixed-media assemblages at Kobalt Gallery, 366 Commercial St. in Provincetown, opening Friday, July 9th and running through July 15th. Laro takes found objects like old paint brushes and creates three-dimensional storyboards using a rainbow palette. They’re at once nostalgic and joyful, comforting and open-ended. The gallery is open daily, noon to 6 p.m.; Friday until 9 p.m.; Wednesday by appointment only.
