Situations is a series of videos by filmmaker John Lucas and poet Claudia Rankine that is, in the words of Rankine, “a multi-genre response to contemporary life in the 21st century. Each video is a dialogue with a natural disaster or a national or international event or policy. Our intent was to interrogate the political and cultural impact of catastrophic events on individual lives.”
Join Lucas and Rankine in conversation, along with a screening of Situations videos, as part of the virtual Twenty Summers program on Tuesday, November 10th, at noon. Register for free at 20summers.org.
The live Twenty Summers festival, normally at the Hawthorne Barn in Provincetown in May and June, was canceled due to the pandemic.
