The 93rd Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, April 25th at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, broadcast on ABC at 8 p.m. To make the short-film categories more relevant to viewers, Waters Edge Cinema is offering an online program of all the Oscar-nominated shorts in the three award categories — live action, animated, and documentary. The nominated live action shorts are Feeling Through by Doug Roland, The Letter Room by Elvira Lind, The Present by Farah Nabulsi, Two Distant Strangers by Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe, and White Eye by Tomer Shushan. Running time: 2 hours, 5 minutes.
The nominated animated shorts are Burrow by Madeline Sharafian, Genius Loci by Adrien Mérigeau, If Anything Happens, I Love You by Michael Govier and Will McCormack, Opera by Erick Oh, and Yes, People by Gísli Darri Halldórsson. Running time: 1 hour, 34 minutes.
The documentary shorts are Colette by Anthony Giacchino, A Concerto Is a Conversation by Kris Bowers and Ben Proudfoot, Do Not Split by Anders Hammer, and Hunger Ward by Skye Fitzgerald. Running time: 1 hour, 58 minutes.
