Accounting Down
To the editor:
Regarding Wellfleet’s seemingly abysmal fiscal situation: if a new town administrator is hired before the town’s accounting mayhem is straightened out and before a competent town accountant and town treasurer are in place, that will be akin to installing a new hood ornament on the same old sputtering car.
Perhaps it’s time for the town of Wellfleet to contract with a municipal accounting firm on a permanent basis.
Now there’s a novel concept.
