A celebration of the life of political strategist and LGBTQ rights activist Ann Marie Maguire will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 1 at the Arlington Street Church, 351 Boylston St., Boston. Maguire, who lived in Provincetown for 25 years, died at 80 on Dec. 29, 2023. A bench in front of Provincetown Town Hall was dedicated to her in 2019. Her obituary was published in the Independent on Jan. 11, 2024.
The Rev. Kim Crawford Harvie, a senior minister at the Arlington Street Church and former minister at Provincetown’s Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, will officiate at the memorial service, and Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey will speak.
