A celebration of the life of Mary Grace Smith, who died at 87 on Feb. 14, 2022, will be held this Saturday, Sept. 17 at Wellfleet Preservation Hall — the cultural and community institution she helped found.
Smith also served on the board of Outer Cape Health Services. She was “feisty, insightful … a whiz at crosswords, but never cross,” said Sally Deane in an obituary published in the Independent on Feb. 24. Friends and family are welcome to attend the gathering, which will begin at 4 p.m. Wellfleet Preservation Hall is at 335 Main St.
