Gregory W. Curtis of Provincetown and Vieques, Puerto Rico died on Dec. 1, 2020 at his home in Provincetown. He was 55. No cause of death was named.
Gregg, known to some by his nickname Magnolia, was a U.S. Navy veteran and a longtime server in Provincetown, working most recently at Local 186, Pepe’s Wharf, and Ross’ Grill.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Gay Curtis; his sisters, Linda Fay Curtis and Brenda Kay Williams, and partner Louis, of McEwen, Tenn.; his nephews, Robert Wayne Williams and Travis Curtis, and niece, Mallory Young; and several great-nieces and -nephews in Tennessee. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Anne Pavek and partner Donna of Walden, N.Y., and brothers-in-law Francis Pavek and partner Irene of Clifton, N.J., Peter Pavek and partner Bess of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., and John Pavek and partner Denise of Arnold, Md.; and by many loving nieces- and nephews-in-law. He leaves childhood friends in Tennessee and loving friends in Provincetown, the Hudson Valley, and Vieques. His constant companion, Mac, a blue Chihuahua, has been adopted by his dear friend Oriana Conklin.
Gregg was predeceased by his father, Robert Wayne Curtis, his maternal grandmother, Ruby Gladys Rhyne, and his beloved husband, Laurence H. Pavek.
Because of the continuing pandemic, memorial services will be postponed until a date to be announced. Gregg will be interred in Provincetown Cemetery with his husband.
