Paulo Alexandre Dalomba, 42, died in his home in Plymouth on Oct. 27, 2020. The cause of death is unknown, said his sister, Natalia.
Born in Hyannis on Feb. 18, 1978, Paulo grew up in Provincetown and attended Provincetown High School, where he was a devoted hockey and soccer player. He graduated with the class of 1996.
Paulo’s true passion was his family and friends. His had a magnetic personality and prided himself on the friendships he made instantaneously and those that were lifelong.
In 2000, Paulo relocated to Plymouth, where he lived in the heart of downtown. The business that he started there, Cape State Heating, employed local people, often helping those who were in need of work.
Paulo loved life. He would often be found with his friends, being the life of the party or entertaining at his home. His doors were always open and his generosity was unquantifiable. Paulo particularly loved the summer, spending time at the beach on his boat or jet ski. Taking off four-wheeling with friends was one of the highlights of his days. Paulo had an affinity for his toys, and over the years amassed quite a collection of cars, water vehicles, and motorcycles. They were his passion and what he prided himself on the most.
Paulo is survived by his mother and stepfather, Maria and Carlos Silva of Provincetown, and his father and stepmother, Isac Dalomba and Amelia Anjos of New Jersey. He also leaves his sister, Natalia Weiner, and husband Jeff of Harwich; his niece, Julia; his nephews, Sam and Zachary; and his stepsister, Carla McGrath, and husband Garrett of Brewster, along with nephew Casen. His girlfriend, Annie Boccalini Luscko of Plymouth, also survives him.
Paulo had a tremendously large extended family, with many aunts, uncles, and cousins, both in the U.S. and in Portugal. He is deeply missed by those who loved him and by the many friends he made over the years.
Calling hours for Paulo were held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Gately Funeral Home in Provincetown. A private funeral Mass for the family will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5, at St. Peter the Apostle Church, Provincetown, followed by a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paulo’s memory to the Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless, 149 Bishops Hwy., Kingston, MA 02364 or at plymouthareacoalition.org/.
