Confirmed bird sightings on the Outer Cape in the week preceding the Independent’s deadline on Tuesday, March 28 included the following, based on a report prepared by Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
Sightings from Race Point in Provincetown included a Pacific Loon, a Thick-Billed Murre, 6 Common Murres, 200 Razorbills, 30 Iceland Gulls, 220 Northern Gannets, an American Pipit, and a Common Redpoll.
There was also a Glossy Ibis sighted elsewhere in Provincetown.
2 White-Crowned Sparrows were seen in North Truro.
15 Red Crossbills were recorded at Wellfleet Bay sanctuary.
