Confirmed bird sightings on the Outer Cape in the week preceding the Independent’s deadline on Tuesday, June 25 included the following, based on a report prepared by Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
A Franklin’s Gull was seen again at Race Point in Provincetown, where other sightings included a White-Rumped Sandpiper, two Royal Terns, an Arctic Tern, a Black Tern, and 22 Roseate Terns.
There was a Chuck-Will’s-Widow at Nauset Light Beach in Eastham.
