Walsh Advisers
Anne Greenbaum and Jonathon Winder were reappointed to the Walsh Property Advisory Committee, and Kerene Dyer Webb joined the committee for the first time after the select board voted unanimously on the appointments at its July 8 meeting.
Greenbaum, formerly an alternate committee member, will now be a full member, and Winder will serve another term as an alternate. Greenbaum is also vice chair of Truro’s planning board.
In April, Greenbaum urged the planning board to support the creation of a zoning overlay district, then the subject of a warrant article on its way to town meeting, in order to facilitate planning on the 70-acre site purchased by the town in 2019. It divides the Walsh property into three subdistricts, two that allow affordable housing and one for recreational use.
A fourth person, Mark Gebhardt, applied to join the Walsh committee, but the select board decided to move on when it became clear Gebhardt was not present at the meeting. His absence left the board with just as many candidates as vacancies to fill.
The other members of the Walsh committee will see their terms expire on June 30, 2026. —Lauren Hakimi
