Meet the Candidates
There are two contested races in the town’s May 20 election, and voters can meet the candidates at town hall at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 12.
Four candidates are competing for two select board seats: incumbents Suzanne Bryan and Jerry Cerasale and current planning board members Brian Earley and Dave Hobbs.
There are also two seats on the board of library trustees on the ballot; incumbent Sara Higgins is running for re-election, and newcomers Robert Harnett, Michael Narracci, and Robin Rowe are running as well.
Higgins is also running for re-election to the elementary school committee, but in that contest there is only one other person running for the second seat on the ballot: Lindsay Palmer. Since voters can pick two candidates when there are two seats available, Palmer and Higgins will almost certainly both be elected.
In the final race on the ballot, Moira Noonan-Kerry is running unopposed for another term on the Nauset Regional School Committee.
The event is sponsored by the Eastham Chamber of Commerce, Lower Cape TV, and the Eastham Dog Owners’ Association; Teresa Martin of Lower Cape TV will serve as moderator. —Parker Mumford
