Town Meeting Made Easy
The annual town meeting is on Saturday, May 3, and an array of support services are available to ensure all residents can participate, including parking spaces near the meeting site at Truro Central School; free transportation to and from the meeting; on-site assistance with check-in; free child care during the meeting; and assistive listening devices and materials in alternative formats.
To reserve these services, contact Katie Thibodeau at [email protected] or call 508-413-9507. The deadline to register for all services is Monday, April 28.
Get Out the Vote
Town election day is Tuesday, May 13, and polls will be open at the Truro Community Center from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m that day. The deadline to register to vote in this election is Saturday, May 3.
Voters will have several opportunities to cast their ballots ahead of time: Early in-person voting will take place in the clerk’s office at town hall on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from Tuesday, May 6 through Friday, May 9 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
A candidates night at the community center at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 offers a chance for voters to hear directly from the contenders running for eight seats on six town boards and committees and to better understand the choices on the ballot. —Aden Choate
