Conversation Starters
Pre-Town Meeting
The pre-town meeting forum on Thursday, April 17 affords voters a chance to learn more about the articles on the warrant and to ask questions directly of the finance committee, select board, and the sponsors of petitioned articles.
The meeting is also posted as a budget hearing on the fiscal 2026 operating budget.
It will be held at the Truro Community Center with an online participation option. The deadline to register to vote in Truro for the May 3 town meeting is April 23.
All-Ages Earth Day
At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19 at the Truro library there will be an all-ages Earth Day celebration organized around the theme “Water Is Life.”
The event is organized by the climate action committee and will include representatives from the Center for Coastal Studies, the Association to Preserve Cape Cod, and Protect Our Cape Cod Aquifer. Young people can learn about ways to protect Cape Cod’s ocean, ponds, and groundwater, and will make a bottle cap mosaic out of plastic recovered from the ocean. —Paul Benson
