Town Election
Provincetown’s annual town election is on May 13, and candidates who wish to run must pick up nomination papers by noon on March 21. Signatures are due at the town clerk’s office at 5 p.m. on March 25.
Two seats on the select board are up for election this year, and incumbents John Golden and chair Dave Abramson have already pulled nomination papers. Golden’s 31 signatures were certified last week. So far, no one else has pulled papers for that race.
The two school committee seats up this year are currently held by incumbents Adrianna Stefani and Matthew Richard. Only Stefani has taken out nomination papers so far.
There is also a seat on the charter compliance commission up for election that is currently held by Oriana Conklin and a seat on the board of library trustees that is currently vacant. No one has yet picked up papers to run for those seats. —Paul Benson
