Speedy Select Board
Select Board Member Gerald Cerasale told the Independent that, according to his watch, Monday’s select board meeting lasted 14 minutes 47 seconds. That may not be the fastest select board meeting in recent history, but he said it was close.
“We didn’t have a lot going, which is actually probably a good thing,” said Cerasale. “The town is running smoothly.”
During the meeting, the main action item was approving the renewal of the common victualler license and transfer of the liquor license of the Brickhouse Restaurant to its new owners, Versel Johnson and Lindsay Johnson. The board voted unanimously to approve both.
Afterward, it accepted the resignations of three people from the zoning task force — Jeff Cusack, Jim Kivlehan, and Roy Merolli — and one person from the recycling committee, Gretchen Stier. Harriett Emerson was accepted by the select board as a new member of the climate action committee. —Jack Styler
