33 Conwell St.
The 14-unit, five-building inclusionary housing project at 33 Conwell St. has now received the necessary permits from Provincetown’s planning board — but that doesn’t mean all five buildings will be under construction soon.
Three of the buildings will be constructed using an on-site septic system, and the other two will not be built until around 2030, when a hookup to the town’s sewer system is expected to become available.
The project includes three deed-restricted affordable units — two in building one and one in building five. Those are among the three buildings that should be under construction in late fall, according to project designer Doug Dolezal.
With construction time estimated at 14 months, the one-bedroom affordable-ownership units could be coming online around January 2026.
The community housing council voted for two of the affordable-ownership units to be available for applicants making up to 120 percent of the area median income, while the third will be available to applicants making up to 100 percent of the area median income. —Paul Benson
