Select Board Reorganization
The select board voted on new officers at its June 11 meeting, the first with newly elected members Nancy Medoff and Sue Girard-Irwin seated up front.
Sue Areson, formerly the vice chair, will become chair; Bob Weinstein will be vice chair; Medoff will be clerk. All votes were unanimous.
Early Voting
In-person early voting for the special town election set for June 27 will be held next week in the clerk’s office at town hall. On Tuesday, June 18, Thursday, June 20, and Friday, June 21, from noon to 4 p.m., voters can cast their early ballots. (Town hall will be closed Wednesday for Juneteenth.)
The election will ask voters to approve a series of four financial measures related to town projects, including repairing the HVAC system at the school, upgrading the DPW facility, hiring a human resources coordinator, and replacing a culvert at Mill Pond Road. —Sophie Mann-Shafir
