Climate Action Survey
The town is looking to residents for help with putting together a climate action plan.
“The multi-year plan will outline town actions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and their climate impacts,” according to the town website.
An online survey asks part- and full-time Eastham residents about what types of climate education they would find most helpful. Options include community workshops, webinars, and newsletters with updates and climate-related news.
It also asks respondents to weigh in on climate-related priorities for the town, from building climate-conscious public infrastructure to protecting wetland areas to financial incentives for switching to electric vehicles.
One question starts, “Imagine you are the town’s planner, and you have $100 to spend on climate change,” before asking how the respondent would divide that money among different climate initiatives. The survey should take at most 10 minutes to complete.
Questions should be directed to the town’s climate action committee at [email protected]. —Sophie Mann-Shafir
