ZBA Applicants Wanted
Seats will open up on the town’s zoning board of appeals at the end of June when terms expire for five of the board’s current members. The town is seeking applicants.
As a regulatory board, the ZBA is composed of full-time residents who conduct hearings and interpret zoning bylaws to decide whether to grant variances and special permits on construction projects.
Members are appointed by the select board. The ZBA meets remotely on Mondays usually once per month; its scheduled meeting dates for the rest of this calendar year are available online.
Terms are up for full members Arthur Hultin, David Crocker, and Darrell Shedd, who is vice chair. Alternate seats held by Joseph McKinnon and Russell Braun will also be vacant come June 30.
The application is available online. It asks applicants about their relevant experience and their familiarity with the work of the ZBA. The deadline to apply is June 1. —Sophie Mann-Shafir
