Uncontested
The race for two seats on the select board may be hotly contested, with four candidates turning in nomination papers, but all other elected board and committee positions appear to be uncontested ahead of the April 29 election.
Nobody turned in papers for a vacant five-year spot on the Wellfleet Housing Authority, but Robert Wagner will be running a write-in campaign, according to Town Clerk Jennifer Congel. He will be replacing Richard Ciotti, who is stepping down from the board after eight years.
Dan Silverman will seek reelection for another year as town moderator. Melissa Lynch and Lauren Hill are seeking three-year terms on the Wellfleet Elementary School Committee, and Adam Miller and Kathy Shorr have put their names down for three-year terms on the board of library trustees. Yvonne Barocas will join them for a one-year term on the board.
David Agger is looking to stay on the cemetery commission for another three years. —Sam Pollak
