RFPs for Medical Services
Bids are open for medical service providers as part of the $381,375 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant that the four Outer Cape towns received last month. The funding went to the four-town collaborative “OC Wellness” and is intended to bolster physical and mental health services on the Outer Cape.
Eastham, in collaboration with the other three towns, is accepting proposals for three positions. They are looking to hire a network coordinator who will meet with local health agents and other project partners, help fulfill ARPA grant reporting requirements, and keep tabs on program success, according to a post on the Provincetown website.
The town also put out an RFP for a regional public nurse, who will collaborate with local police and fire departments, in addition to health professionals, in providing medical care.
Finally, the initiative is looking to hire a licensed social worker to provide behavioral health services, “with a strong emphasis on preventing unnecessary emergency room visits through early assessments and support.”
The town is accepting bids for the three positions until 2 p.m. on Aug. 17. —Sophie Mann-Shafir
