Jill Biden Is Coming to Town
First Lady Jill Biden will headline a fundraiser for the Biden-Harris reelection campaign in Provincetown’s West End on Friday, July 21.
The event is cohosted by two couples: Bryan Rafanelli and Mark Walsh and Alix Ritchie and Marty Davis. Tickets range from $25 to $50,000, although there were a limited number of $25 and $150 tickets, and they are now sold out.
Donations of $3,300 or more include a photo with Biden. Donations above $47,900 are divided among the Biden-Harris campaign’s primary fund, its general election fund, the Democratic National Committee, all 50 state Democratic parties, and the Democratic Party of the District of Columbia. The maximum amount for a combined donation of this type is $929,600 for an individual or $415,000 for a political action committee.
Rafanelli and Ritchie previously teamed up on a fundraiser in Provincetown for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at the height of the 2016 election campaign. That event, which drew more than 1,000 people to a tent at the Pilgrim Monument, raised more than $1.5 million. Cher also spoke at that fundraiser. —Paul Benson
