Preschool Funding
Applications are now open for the Family Support Package, which includes funding for basic preschool services for three-year-olds (up to four hours per day) and four-year-olds (up to seven hours per day). The child’s age as of Aug. 31 of the upcoming school year determines eligibility.
The program also provides after-school care and free school lunch and sets aside $100,000 per year for workforce housing programs. Voters approved funding for the program at this year’s town meeting. This year is the third year for the program, according to the 2023 town meeting warrant.
A completed application will include proof of residency and a copy of the birth certificate of the child. Applications can be found on the town’s website. —Sam Pollak
