Don’t Do That to Your Beach Sticker
The town issued a press release on June 1 warning that defaced beach stickers are not valid for beach access. “It has come to the town’s attention that residents are altering their beach stickers,” the notice states. Their green backgrounds have been removed.
Anyone who alters a beach sticker will have to purchase a new one for a replacement fee of $7 and may also be issued a $50 fine for parking without a valid sticker.
Beach stickers are available in person at 555 Old Orchard Road or by mail from the Recreation & Beach Dept. between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Thursday to Monday.
For questions related to beach stickers and permitting, call the Recreation, Beach, and Sticker Office at 508-240-5874. —Sophie Mann-Shafir
