Maurice’s Scope of Services
During its Feb. 4 meeting, the Maurice’s Campground Planning Committee discussed a draft scope of services to hire a professional consultant to create a master plan for the development of the town-owned 21.5-acre campground into affordable housing.
Members Carl Sussman and Emily Achtenburg presented the draft, which the committee will vote on at a future meeting.
The master plan phase should last 12 months from the date a consultant is hired. The community engagement portion of the plan will include surveys, public forums, and focus groups, and the master plan will also mark out locations for housing and other site uses and present the planning committee with design options.
The consultant will also help set a timeline for future work at the property, with an eye toward construction in 2028. —Sam Pollak
