Summer Kickoff at T-Time
Have you always wanted to play tug-of-war with the select board? How about throwing some corn hole with your neighbors? Eastham is kicking off the summer in a sweet way by hosting an ice cream social at the T-Time property from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.
Town representatives will lead field-day games and there will be face painting, music, a 1980s-themed costume contest, and sign-ups for the Eastham Public Library’s summer reading program. All activities are free and the Ice Cream Café is providing free ice cream.
Recent improvements to the T-Time property will also be unveiled at Saturday’s event. They were made using a $29,800 grant awarded in 2021 through the MassDOT Shared Streets and Spaces Program.

Volunteers Needed
Eastham needs volunteers to serve on the board of health. Applications are open to full-time residents, and “no prior experience is necessary,” according to Jane Crowley, the town’s director of health and environment.
The board of health is a regulatory committee “charged with the protection and promotion of public health, control of disease, environmental protection, and the promotion of sanitary living conditions,” according to the town’s website.
By the end of this month, there will be two vacant seats on the committee that must be filled. “We welcome any interested residents,” Crowley said.
Applications can be found by searching “volunteer application online” on the town’s website. —Isabelle Nobili
