Confirmed bird sightings on the Outer Cape in the week preceding the Independent’s deadline on Tuesday, March 22 included the following, based on a report prepared by Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
Birds at Race Point in Provincetown this week included 2 Pacific Loons, 8 Common Murres, 3 Thick-Billed Murres, 300 Razorbills, a Glaucous Gull, and 24 Iceland Gulls.
Elsewhere in Provincetown, 7 Semipalmated Plovers were seen.
There was a Short-Eared Owl in Wellfleet.
