The Library Is Open, but…
Patrons can return to the library, which reopened on June 1, with the following hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2 to 6 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The meeting rooms and the lower levels are still closed. And you can still request curbside pickup after selecting a book or two through the CLAMs catalog. Call 508-487-1125 or email [email protected] with questions.
The town hall reopens for two half days per week beginning Friday, June 4. Friday hours are noon to 4 p.m. The public can also come inside town hall on Mondays from 8 a.m. to noon.
Otherwise, residents must conduct their business online or by phone. Or you can make an appointment. Permitting and payment for transfer station and beach stickers can be done online through the town’s website, truro-ma.gov.
At the Council on Aging, seniors were invited back on June 1 for one-on-one appointments during two half days per week. On Mondays, appointments are available from 8 a.m. to noon. On Fridays, appointments can be made from noon to 4 p.m. As for other services, senior citizens can still get medical rides on Mondays and Thursdays. And seniors can have mail and food deliveries on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Everyone still must wear masks inside all town buildings, at the transfer station, and at entrances and exits of the town beaches. Masks will also be required during the June 26 town meeting.
These limited hours will be in effect until further notice, according to the town website, with new changes to be announced, “prior to July 1.” —K.C. Myers
