Confirmed bird sightings on the Outer Cape in the week preceding the Independent’s deadline on Tuesday, March 30 included the following, based on a report prepared by Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
Following the passage of that strong southerly storm last weekend, a Swallow-Tailed Kite was reported in Provincetown.
Sightings at Race Point in Provincetown this week included a Red Phalarope, a Pacific Loon, 200 Red-Breasted Mergansers, a Thick-Billed Murre, and 20 Iceland Gulls.
That Tufted Duck cannot get enough of Great Pond in Eastham.
6 Evening Grosbeaks were reported in Wellfleet.
There were 10 Common Redpolls in Truro.
