TRURO — There are no contested races for the 11 town board seats up for election this spring, and no candidates on the ballot at all for two of those positions.
The deadline for submitting nomination papers was 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23.
Select board member Kristen Reed is running for a second three-year term, but Jan Worthington, who has served on the board for 15 years, is not running again. Her spot will go to John Dundas, currently a member of the zoning board of appeals.
Two newcomers, Richard Evan Roberts and Ellery Althaus, are running uncontested for the planning board. They will replace Peter Herridge, who decided not to run again after being censured by the select board, and fill a currently empty seat.
Carl Brotman is leaving the housing authority spot he has held for 10 years. Mara Glatzel will take his place.
Vida Rose Richter and Edwige Yingling will join the school committee, replacing Michelle Jarusiewicz and Dennis Clark.
Stephen Keith Althaus is running again for library trustee, but no one is on the ballot to replace trustee Sally Brotman.
Similarly, only Holly Ballard Gardner is running for cemetery commission, which needs to fill two seats.
Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly reported that Jan Worthington had served on the select board for 12, not 15 years.
